Shall I say, I have gone at dusk through narrow streets
And watched the smoke that rises from the pipes
Of lonely men in shirt-sleeves, leaning out of windows?…

I should have been a pair of ragged claws
Scuttling across the floors of silent seas.

This is my latest painting, based on the themes and imagery of T.S. Eliot. Specifically The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock and Rhapsody on a Windy Night. Hope you like it. I think I\'m beginning to develop a style... I THINK! We\'ll see. I have more coming. Criticise me!

Also sorry if I haven\'t replied to things on here, I haven\'t been on deviantart for a while. Thanks for still watching and supporting though. I appreciate every comment and fave.

Acrylic paint on MDF craft board wood stuff.

One of my favorite lines from Eliot from way back, and the painting really captures the mood of the poem. Awesome.

Thank you so much! I'm happy you like the palette, it wasn't really planned but I think it turned out well too :3

This is so cool. I love characters with interesting faces, and I love this crab guy. Great realism on the face and expression — aside from the anemones, he looks like a (sad, broke-down) person you might see on the street.

I...I kind of want to give him a hug, actually. D:

Thank you! The persona in the poems I based it on is a bit like that. Not homeless, but he is a sad, self-conscious, lonely and indecisive wanderer. So thank you again, your comment means a lot. I'm sure he would appreciate a hug :)
